Dr. Wendy Baker, Psy.D. (she/her/hers)

“You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.” – Maya Angelou

Life is a journey with an ever-changing roadmap. At times the hills, potholes, and valleys present an impact that may benefit from supportive assistance. In these instances, I am of the mindset that a collaborative and relational approach can be both helpful and meaningful. I am grounded by my self-awareness and commitment to multicultural diversity. It is my priority, to be present and show up as authentically as possible in all therapy spaces while helping others through the concerning times of their lives.

I prioritize creating an environment that feels safe, respectful, and warm for each unique person. I believe that therapy is a safe and non-judgmental space to meet you where you are in the moment. Therapy can be the tool to assist you as you navigate your journey.

My previous experience in community mental health and hospital settings working with individuals, couples, and groups from various lived experiences has prepared me to work with diverse backgrounds and concerns. I work from a collaborative relational lens.  My area of expertise is in working with individuals and couples who may be experiencing stressors in their daily life-functioning. My areas of specialty include adjustment issues, anxiety, cultural/social identity concerns, depression, interpersonal/relationship concerns, life transitions, multicultural concerns, and women’s issues.

I invite you to reach out to schedule a session. I’m looking forward to hearing from you! I welcome the opportunity of working with you in your life journey.
